Community Engagement at Our Core

At New Chapter Dentistry, one of our core values is “compassion is in our roots.” We strive to create a safe, supportive environment where our patients feel understood and our staff feels fulfilled. Beyond the clinic, we work to ensure our local community feels supported, extending our care far beyond teeth to truly touch lives.

We are proud supporters of countless community projects and groups through both in-kind and monetary gifts. Here are a few examples of the local organizations and efforts that New Chapter Dentistry has supported, both past and present:

Youth Sports & School Programs

• Faith Lutheran School: Donated a new scoreboard for the school gymnasium.

• Bangor West Elementary: Sponsored the annual Field Day event.

• John Glenn High School: Supported the football program.

• Bay City Wolves: Sponsored local youth hockey.

• 2026 Bay City Bandits: Proud supporter of the 8U baseball team.

• 2027 Saginaw Bay Riverdawgs: Proud supporter of the 9U baseball team.

Foster Care & Community Support

• Foster Families Navigation and Resource Center: Purchased holiday gifts for local teenagers.

• Bay County DHHS: Provided support and holiday gifts for local foster families.

• Great Lakes Dream Center: Supported local homeless outreach and assistance programs, in addition to providing toothbrushes and oral care items.

Local Arts & Civic Engagement

• Youth Theater Programs: Sponsor several local theater organizations and musical productions, including Bay City Academy and John Glenn High School.

• Bay Area Chamber of Commerce: Active and proud member promoting local business growth.

Dental Health & Community Outreach

• Local Girl Scout Troop: Provided toothbrushes for their homeless shelter service project.

• Trunk-or-Treat Events: Distributed toothbrushes and candy at local community events.

• Professional Mentorship: Dr. Vanfleteren acts as a dedicated mentor for prospective dental career students.
